There are many investor alternatives, but only a few choices at any one time.
Funding the company is probably the first idea that comes to an entrepreneur’s mind, even before the ink on their business idea has dried. Other than self-funding, referred to as bootstrapping, time spent focusing on finding capital during the company’s early stages is wasted. Instead, the entrepreneur should focus on rounding out their idea, validating product-market fit, and building the business. In fact, if an entrepreneur does find an external source of cash in their early stages, they will most likely waste it.
