Companies need to understand that a candidate’s loved ones will influence their decision.

In virtually all cases, a candidate for a new position at a different company will discuss the opportunity with some of their loved ones and closest friends.  For the most part, those individuals will only be able to offer their opinions and recommendations based on secondhand information provided by the candidate.  Companies should recognize the need to provide others with information to help them provide better insight and appropriate guidance to the candidate.
