Following the same accountability rules is necessary regardless of the setting or observation.

How we behave is often determined by who is observing us or who is likely to learn how we behaved later.  It is easy to fall into the trap of “No one is looking” and accepting actions or outcomes that are less than acceptable given other circumstances.  Managers need to constantly and consistently follow the same accountability standards to help ensure that others mimic their behaviors.
