Project Managers need to be empowered to be Project Leaders
Methodically planning and monitoring projects is essential for every organization. Except for single-person or very short-duration projects, the same methodology should be used for all projects. Restricting project managers to monitoring and reporting project status only implies that they are more like historians than leaders. It is management’s responsibility to empower them with responsibility, authority, and accountability across the organization.
