Humor to some may be offensive to others; establish company norms accordingly.

Like it or not, we live in a world that is often judged by political correctness as defined by each individual as they see fit given a particular set of circumstances, timing, or audiences.   Jokes that may be humorous to some may be deemed offensive to others.   Setting the correct tone and balance within an organization is extremely difficult due to the wide, non-homogenous nature of the workforce.  Following the Second Principle of treating all individuals with dignity and respect is essential.  At the same time, it is important to foster an environment of open dialogue.
