Work closely with Boards of Directors, Advisors, Customers, and others as the business grows.

While focusing on employees and customers, private companies need to consider other external groups to help the company succeed.  Those groups can be divided into four categories: Board of Directors (shareholder representatives), Board of Advisors, Customer Boards, and other focused professionals.  Each of these groups has separate and distinct roles and goals for the company.  Each can provide valuable insight to the company based on their unique perspectives.  Understanding the differences between these groups and closely working with each can significantly help the company avoid missteps and recover from them while growing and maturing.
