MBO Goal Comments

Effectiveness of an MBO program is dependent on establishing mutually acceptable goals.

Determining appropriate goals, their metrics, and the associated performance criteria requires careful consideration and agreement between both the employee and their immediate manager.  The joint goal-setting activity provides ownership of the goal as well as the belief that the goals are achievable.
