Overview Chapter 4.05: The CEO

Only a select number of people in business get the opportunity to run an organization.

There are over 18 million businesses in the United States, but only about 4,500 are publicly traded companies.  Although large publicly traded companies get all the headlines and attention, over 97% of all businesses have less than 50 employees.  Regardless of the size, each organization has a leader, large or small, public or private.  Some have the title of CEO, while many others do not.  In any case, each leader has unique responsibilities that are not shared with anyone else in the organization.  It is both a burdensome and awesome responsibility.
