Introduction to CxO-Atlas Website

Quick Summary: CxO-Atlas is a free website that contains hundreds of articles on a wide variety of business issues.

Abstract:

This website contains hundreds of very specific, short articles covering a wide variety of operational issues that may be of interest to entrepreneurs or business executives.   Access to the information is quick, easy, and free.  Users can find, read, and download articles on specific subjects of interest through multiple simple filtering, browsing, and selection processes.  All articles are independent and can be read in any order.

This website is a content repository containing information that may interest all CEOs, senior executives, and entrepreneurs.  It covers many of the day-to-day challenges and issues associated with starting or running a company.  The content contains 689 short articles, 36 presentations, and 17 tools.  Each article is about 800 words long and occupies two pages on average.  Most can be read in two or three minutes.

The site goal is simple:  Provide business leaders with highly relevant business operational content quickly when needed.

To further simplify and speed up the browsing and selection process, each article contains a one-line quick summary and an 80-word abstract.  This arrangement allows a user to quickly understand the article’s content without necessarily reading it.  In fact, in many cases, the article's essence is captured in the abstract, often negating the need to read the article at all.

Each article addresses a specific subjects, organized in a hierarchical structure:

Volumes à Chapters  à Sections à Articles

This approach allows a user to quickly find an article with just a few clicks.   Presentations and tools are available through articles, so one organizational structure is used across the site for all content.  The presentations vary in length from 12 to 70 PowerPoint™ slides and cover a wide range of subjects.  The 17 tools are Excel™ based and allow users to enter their own data as applicable.  Volume 9 contains a list of all articles, listed both by article number and alphabetically by title.  Volume 8 includes lists of the presentations and tools.  The specific article numbers for these lists are shown below.

The site has eight different access methods as described in article 1.010105, “How to Use this Site.”  A summary of the access methods is listed below.
