The Three Business Phases and Nine Stages

The entrepreneur’s journey can be divided into sequential phases and stages.

The journey from dreaming of starting a business to its ultimate success is filled with highs, lows, setbacks, diversions, and, ultimately, success.  Rather than focusing on the long-term goal, taking one step at a time is more effective.  Those steps can be thought of as three phases, each consisting of three stages.  An entrepreneur may sail through one and may be bogged down in others.  Often, they will have to go back and follow a different path along the journey.
