Take the time to ask a few others to help you develop a reasonable response.

We often hear the expression that two heads are better than one.   Three heads might be better than two, but certainly, ten heads will be worse!  When confronted with an unexpected, apparently urgent issue, it is always better to take a moment and involve a few others to help you think through the issue as you develop a response.
