Of the four investor categories, employees are the most important.  Through their efforts, the company develops its products and services and makes them available to customers.  Without their activities, the other investors have no need or purpose.  Despite its importance, there are only three articles in this section.  Four other chapters in this collection, Growing Pains, Responsiveness, Human Capital, and Management, provide significantly more comments about employees.
