Creeping Features

Although well intended, Creeping features can cause serious consequences

Creeping or undocumented features can be initiated by virtually anyone.  However, they must go through a common element: the development team.  Although developers can stop outside creeping features from being implemented, developers themselves have no such limit.  In fact, developers with good intentions are probably the largest source of creeping features.  Safeguard measures need to be put in place to address the entire issue.
