Game plans and strategies need to be flexible to accommodate variations that are likely to occur.

Getting agreement across an organization to follow one particular strategy can be difficult.  There is seldom only one correct answer or approach.  Once an agreement is reached, companies are often reluctant to re-open discussions for fear of re-starting the debate.  Although politically expedient, this approach can result in following a flawed path due to unanticipated changes.  Learn to systematically assess the current situation and quickly change direction as required.
