Solicit candid opinions from seasoned startup veterans to avoid quick rejections from investors.

Investors are interested in investing in an entire company, not just in an idea.  They will want to feel confident that you have covered all of the bases and elements to make the company successful.  Few of us can do that alone.  Ask others for advice on those various aspects of your planned business.  Do it before you ask for money.
