Management needs to quickly address performance issues as soon as they become aware.
Poor employee performance issues generally start out as minor issues but, left unaddressed, can grow to have serious impacts on their co-workers, themselves, and entire organizations. Left unaddressed by management, co-workers are likely to assume that management has chosen not to address the issue and, therefore, tacitly approves the behavior. In many cases, management may not be aware of the situation but must address the issue quickly once made aware.
