There are more investor options than angel or venture capital investors that are available.

Quite often when the term “investor” is used, entrepreneurs think of venture capital firms or angels.  Indeed, both groups invest in entrepreneurs and private companies.  There are several other different types of investors.  They differ in their primary motive for investing, risk tolerance, and focus.  Understanding these differences will help you select investors in the most appropriate category and help align your interactions with them accordingly.
